Saturday June 18th at 7.30pm

Capturing The Essence Of Road Running Since 1979

The 37th Michael Manning Memorial Dunshaughlin 10km Road Race & Fun Run Challenge takes place on Saturday 18th June at 7.30pm.  Athletes and fun runners from the four corners of Ireland have circled the date on their calendars and are looking forward to being part of Irelands oldest 10km road race.  Over the past 37 years, this race has become known throughout the country as a ‘classic’ and with many runners making PB’s over the exactly measured course, it is a ‘must run’ for many runners.  A little before 8.00pm on June 18th next, who will lead the charge to the finish line of almost 1,000 runners over traditionally fast Dunshaughlin 10km course?

With online entry just €15 and €20 on the day early registration is strongly recommended.   More information and entry details are available on our facebook page or on www.dunshaughlinac.com.  There is a free race day t-shirt for the first 500 entries.

Dunshaughlin AC very much appreciates all of our race day sponsors.  The main race sponsor for 2016 is Willis Towers Watson and the course record bonus sponsors are The Run Hub.

Not only is the Michael Manning Dunshaughlin 10km a great race to run, it is also a great race to remember.  Always well attended, the event is renowned for being friendly yet competitive.  Many of Ireland’s leading road racers are likely to be putting their toe on the start line for this one, a road race capturing the essence of road running since 1979.

Willis Towers Watson www.towerswatson.com/en-IE are Ireland’s leading provider of insurance, pension and investment solutions and consulting services in the Irish market.  Our club is fortunate to have this strong corporate brand support our event as it enables us to continue developing the race unto one of the highest quality road races in the country.  An impressive cash prize fund of €4000 will be on the table for the leading athletes in all categories.

The Run Hub www.therunhub.ie/ are sponsoring a course record bonus of €500 for both the first male and female to break the impressive course record of Noel Cullen (Clonliffe Harries, 2000) 29 minutes 21 seconds and of Lizzie Lee (Leevale AC, 2015) 33 minutes 13 seconds.  The Run Hub specialises in all running equipment and is located in Ashtown beside the Phoenix Park in Dublin.  Whether you run for fun or competitively, they can cater for you.

Dunshaughlin Athletic Club www.dunshaughlinac.com has expanded enormously since its foundation back in 1979. The club has both successful senior men’s and ladies teams which are underpinned by our vibrant juvenile squad. The club has had mainly a distance running tradition but we do coach and encourage most track and field disciplines.  We look forward to welcoming new members and those new to running.
