NEW IRISH U23 POLE VAULT RECORD

Ellie McCartney has set a new Irish National U23 Record of 4.15m in the Women's Pole Vault yesterday evening at the Manchester Invitational. The record follows her recent record breaking 4.05m vault which secured the U23 indoor record only a matter of weeks ago!

Brian Fay was also in sparkling form in Manchester, clocking a stunning 8:33.93 PB in the 3000m steeplechase. The time secured first place and now also ranks the Raheny Shamrock athlete 4th on the all-time Irish list.

Jenna Bromell (3rd) finished just ahead of Ciara Mageaan (4th) with a big PB in the women’s 800m in 2:03.16 at the Manchester meet. Claire Mooney was 7th in 2:05.25.

Georgie Hartigan was also in action, this time taking on the 1500m where she secured a big PB of 4:12.00.

Rhasidat Adeleke continued her stunning 2021 season for Texas University. The Tallagh AC athlete is showing tremendous consistency stateside and last night equalled her 22.96 (+2.3) time posted when claiming the 200m national record set back on May 16th.
