Seven athletes to compete at European throwing cup

Seven Irish athletes will compete at the European Throwing Cup in Samorin, Slovakia this weekend (March 9-10).

One of the key focuses will be the U23 athletes headed by Michaela Walsh (Swinford) with the European Athletics U23 Championships taking place in Gavle, Sweden between July 11th-14th. Competition will be high in this category in Samorin.

Stephen Rice (Clonliffe Harriers) and Ryan McCullough (Donore Harriers) will lead the senior challenge in the javelin and hammer respectively.
