Smyth Completes Unique Double in Assen

Jason Smyth, City of Derry has completed an unique double in winning the 100 metres at the World Paralympic Games in Assen, Holland today in a new world record of 10.86. The previous record was 10.96 set by Jason last year. On Monday Jason won the 200 metres also in a new world record. Our warmest congratulations to Jason and indeed all the other athletes who have produced such exceptional performances at these championships to date.
