The boys from St. Aidan's, Whitehall celebrated on Sunday evening after an incredible 8th place finish at the ISF World Cross Country in Nairobi, Kenya.

The team was led home by Tom Breslin (41st), followed by Devan Morrisey (84), Jack McDonnell (87), Tadgh O Brien (97) and Alister Anith (101).

A 13th place finish was secured, however once the National Teams were removed from the standings 8th place was awarded to the Whitehall men.

The team also enjoyed a trip to Irish Ambassadors Residence, a safari and all of the cultural events laid on by the wonderful hosts.

It was the trip of a lifetime where the young Irish athletes had the opportunity to test themselves against the best schools athletes in the world.
