Sub 4 Minute Mile and U20 Record at NIALive for Olympian Andrew Coscoran and Nick Griggs

At the final edition of this seasons NIALive competition at the Sport Ireland National Indoor Arena Olympian Andrew Coscoran (Star of the Sea AC) has secured a sub-4-minute mile winning time of 3:56.40, seconds away from the National Senior Record of 3:49.78 set by Eamon Coghlan in March 1998. Coscoran has had a fiery season of incredible performances and is set to represent Ireland at the World Indoor Championships 1500m next weekend in Belgrade.

Following the Olympian over the line Nick Griggs (Mid Ulster AC) has added another U20 record to his belt this season securing a sub 4 Mile time of 3:56.40. The 17-year-old this month alone has set the U20 National 1500m (3:43.71) and 3000m (7:57.38) records at the National Indoor Arena.

Matthew Milner (UCD AC) came in third.
