High Performance Programme Manager / Regional Development Officer / National Event Coaching Coordinators High Performance Programme Manager Applications are invited for the position of High Performance Programme Manager. This is a key position in the High Performance Department. The High Performance Department oversees the AAI High Performance Programme. The Programme consists of over fifty athletes from youth achievers to world class athletes. The programme supports athletes to enhance their performance at international competitions. The High Performance Programme Manager will have the following responsibilities 1. Play a key role in the planning, delivery and evaluation of the programme. 2. Prepare budgets and reports for key stakeholders. 3. Liaise with agencies related to the programme 4. Manage the international competition schedule 5. Coordinate the sports science, medical and coaching support for the programme 6. Coordinate the public relations and general information relevant to the programme Applicants will demonstrate an ability to manage a diverse programmme and work as part of a highly motivated team. Five years managerial experience is a requirement and a degree in a related area is desirable. A thorough knowledge of high performance sport and Irish athletics in particular is essential. Regional Development Officer Applications are invited for the position of Regional Development Officer for the South West. This is a full time position. The RDO will be part of the AAI Development Team with the following responsibilities 1. Deliver programmes consistent with the Long Term Athlete Development Plan with the aim of increasing participation in the sport of athletics. 2. Assist clubs to promote and organise athletic programmes through the development and training of key personnel and provision of appropriate equipment 3. Report to the Director of Development and work with the Development Team to further the objectives of the Association. Applicants will demonstrate an ability to work as a self starter. Experience in a sports development role is desirable and a thorough knowledge of athletics in Ireland is essential. These are part time positions within the AAI Coaching Team. The NECC's have the responsibility for developing their specialist event at national level. The duties include: 1. Organising senior squad coaching events 2. Organising continuing professional development opportunities for existing coaches 3. Publishing event specific information for coaches and athletes. Applicants will demonstrate an ability to work as a self starter. Experience in coaching top level athletes and a thorough knowledge of the specialist event is essential.
