Athletics Ireland in association with the Irish Sports Councils women in sport initiative, are promoting a series of running leagues for all throughout the country that will run between September and February. women but are open to all. If you just have an interest in getting active and getting fit through running this is for you. The leagues are about challenging yourself and at the same time enjoying yourself while getting healthy. Currently these leagues are running in 14 locations throughout the country, and the dates, venues and contact numbers of some of the races are on the fixtures section of this web site or check your local press. Others will be added soon, but there are leagues scheduled for Dublin: Raheny, Crusaders AC, Rathfarnham Cork: University College Cork, Cork Institute of Technology Kerry: Tralee Harriers Limerick: Limerick AC/ West Limerick AC Sligo: Sligo AC Donegal: Donegal Co. Board Meath: Dunboyne AC Wicklow: Sli Chulainn AC Waterford: West Waterford AC Kilkenny: Kilkenny City Harriers Laois: St. Abbans AC So not matter what your level of ability or fitness get along to one of these clubs and take on the challenge.
