Irish Master Athletes returned with a very creditable tally of 14 medals from the European Masters Indoor Champs which concluded in Torun, Poland over the weekend.

Medal Tally

Ann Woodlock (W75) brought home double gold in the 1500m & 3000m
Mick Traynor (M50) won the 5km CC and also won bronze in the 3,000m
Denise Toner (W35) won gold over 800m
Mary Barrett (W55) bagged double silver in the Shot Putt & High Jump
Kathryn Casserly (35) - 1500m silver
Anthony Martin (M55) – 400m silver
Cathal McLaughlin (M45) – 1500m silver
Pat Bonass (M70) - 5km CC bronze
Geraldine Finegan (W45) - Javelin bronze
Niamh Fitzgerald (W40) - 800m bronze
Brian O’Domhnaill (M35) - 5km Road Walk bronze
