Paul Hession, after several efforts thwarted by following winds, finally made the Irish 200m record his own when he clocked 20.44 for fourth place at the Norwich Union Grand Prix in Sheffield this evening. It means that Paul Brizzel’s excellent 20.54 set in 2000 now becomes the number two Irish mark. Paul now holds the Irish 60m indoors, 100m and 200m records, and, by all accounts he is not finished yet, and will lower these marks further in the not too distant future.
