The women’s 4x100m team finished 8th in heat 1 at the World Athletics Championships in Oregon in the early hours of this morning (July 23rd). The team of Joan Healy, Adeyemi Talabi, Lauren Roy, and Sarah Leahy safely transitioned the baton around to cross in 44.48. It wasn’t enough to progress to the final on this occasion, but it marks yet more championship experience on the world stage for our relay teams. Irish relay continues to evolve and these championships mark another significant milestone in an event which is sure to breed even more success in years to come.
