50th Anniversary Wreath-Laying Ceremony

A belated 50th anniversary wreath-laying ceremony in honour of J J Keane first president of the NACAI in 1922 and towering figure in the Olympic movement where he served as IOC member for Ireland until 1951 will be held at Glasnevin Cemetery on Sunday at 11.30pm. The ceremony is open to all. A talk on the life of J J Keane will be given by Dr Cyril White folowing the ceremony at the Cara Hall Raheny at 12.30 pm in advance of the national road relays which be held adjacent at 2pm. A detailed appreciation of J J Keane will appear next week based on the talk of Dr Cyril White
