The 69th BAM Ireland Cork City Sports International Meet returns to the athletics calendar on Tuesday July 5th following a two-year absence due to Covid restrictions.
In possibly one of the races of the evening, Sarah Healy is set to take on two-time Olympic champion Caster Semenya in the 3000m set for 8pm.
Several other Irish athletes will also be in action.
Recent national 800m champion Louise Shanahan will go in th 800m at 7.40pm.
Bandon’s Phil Healy will be attempting to run a double in the women’s 100M and 400M.
Darragh McElhinney will to attempt to rewrite the 17-year-old meeting record held by Craig Mottram in the men’s 3000m.
Andrew Coscoran is entered in the mile and will be full of confidence if taking to the start line following his stunning win at the Morton Games on Saturday.
World Indoor finalist and recent 100mH national champion, Sarah Lavin, looks the one to beat once again in the 100mH at 6.50pm.
