At the AAI Games there has been a request for two 3000m mens races with the A race at present suitable for all runners sub 8.50 and the B race for runners 8.55 +. There will be one womens 3000m race. We would encourage u20 & u23 athletes to support these 3000m races and use as part of their XC preparation if not focused on indoors. The mens 1500m likely to be set up for 1.58/2.27 pacing and an attempt at the European Indoor standard.

If we could please ask that all athletes intending on running at either meet please can you ensure you enter ASAP and not leave it until last minute. This allows us ensure higher quality races on the day. We appreciate your support with this.

Also if any athlete is able to support us with pacing it would be much appreciated, as this is always difficult to arrange. Many thanks to Ciara McCallion and Feidhlim Kelly for their support at round 1 and this Saturday we have Fiona Kehoe, Feidhlim Kelly and Dermot McDermott helping with pacing duties. Pacers sought for the AAI Games also.

Please pass on these details to all endurance athletes and coaches in your clubs and thank you again for your support of this initiative. For queries please contact National Junior Endurance Coach Steve Macklin at steven@athleticsireland.ie or 0876335565.
