AAI NATIONAL OUTDOOR LEAGUE TITLES ON THE LINE AT MORTON STADIUM

6 August 2026

The AAI National Outdoor League Final takes centre stage at Morton Stadium this Sunday (August 9), with club honours and county bragging rights up for grabs in what promises to be another fiercely competitive day of athletics.

Competition gets underway at 10:00am, with both the Premier Division and Division 1 finals set to provide thrilling contests across the track and field.

In the Premier Division, Dundrum South Dublin A.C. return as defending champions in both the men’s and women’s competitions and will be aiming to complete another league double.

DSD’s women produced a commanding display to claim last year’s title, recording ten event victories to dethrone defending champions Leevale A.C. They will once again be among the favourites, although Leevale are expected to mount another strong challenge, with Ratoath A.C. also looking capable of pushing for top honours.

The Premier Division men’s competition provided one of the closest finishes in recent memory in 2025, with Dundrum South Dublin and Clonliffe Harriers both finishing level on 140 points. DSD claimed the title by virtue of eight event victories, highlighting the depth of their squad. Both clubs are expected to be in contention once again, while Nenagh Olympic A.C. possess the strength across the disciplines to challenge for the title.

In Division 1, Enniscorthy A.C. return as defending women’s champions and will be determined to retain their crown. The men’s competition looks particularly open, with Finn Valley A.C., Galway City Harriers A.C., and Raheny Shamrock A.C. all expected to be firmly in the mix.

County honours will also be decided on the day. Tipperary (women) and Kerry (men) impressed during the league preliminary round on June 20 and will be hoping to carry that form into Sunday’s final.
