Armagh will again host what is sure to be one of the fastest road races across Europe on Valentines night this February. The race will attract athletes from across Europe to take part in the Women’s 3km and the Men’s 5km. Last year 95 men ran inside 15minutes! Athletics Ireland will send senior teams of 4 men to compete in the 5km, and 4 women to compete in the 3km. Male or female athletes that have run a verifiable sub- 15min 30sec 5km, or sub-10min 45sec 3k, in the past 12 months can obtain free entry by emailing race organisers on  fermoy40@gmail.com with their name and a link to their race result prior to 18th January.

Athletes wishing to be considered for the Irish team should still email to request their entry but should also submit the specific declaration of interest form for this event. Selections will be made after the 18th January from those who have submitted the declaration form based criteria below:

• Performance in the 2018 Irish Life All-Ireland Cross Country Championships
• Historical 3k, 5k and 10km performances
• Recent form and estimated finishing time at Armagh Annual International Road Race 2019
