The Athletic Association of Ireland's 4th Congress took place on the 28th April 2018 in the Landmark Hotel, Carrick on Shannon, Co.Leitrim.

AAI - CONSTITUTION AS AMMENDED IN 2018 CONGRESS
Athletics Ireland is delighted with the enthusiastic support received from Congress for the following motion:
“THAT: the Athletic Association of Ireland annual registration fee be increased by €3.00 for all members effective from 2019. These funds will be ring fenced for Coaching & Development.”
Discussions are underway on how to optimise these funds, which will be used specifically for the benefit of coaches and athletes. Funding will be available from January 2019.
The President noted in her address that support for this motion would enable the association to hire new coaching resources to provide support for coaches from club level to high performance.
