2007 will be a busy year for athletics kicking of in Birmingham with the European Indoor Championships 
and followed by a comprehensive major competition programme in the summer season. (The series of outdoor major competitions begins with the World Youth Championships in Ostrava followed by the European U23 Championships, the European Junior Championships, the European Youth Olympic Festival, the World University Games and culminates in the IAAF World Athletics Championships in Osaka. Coming off the back of a successful European Championships in Gothenburg, we hope Osaka will be a successful outing and having taken home no less than 13 medals from the major competitions in 2005 we clearly have our work cut out in 2007.
