Athletics Ireland Team Management Appointments

The Athletics Assocation of Ireland has announced the appointment of 5 key team management posts, to add to the recent National Coach and RDO's appiontments:
  • Senior T & Field Manager
    Manager:European Championships
    Name:Patsy McGonagle
    Background:Team Manager Olympic Games 2000 Sydney, European Cross Country 2005, 2004 & 2003 and World Cross Country 2005, 2004 & World University Games

  • Senior Cross Country & Roads
    Manager:European Cross Country 2007, World Cross Country 2008, European Cross Country 2008
    Name:Ann Keenan Buckley
    Background:Member of Irish European Cross Country Championships silver medal winning team in 2003 & World Cross Country Bronze medal winning team. Competed in 13 World Cross Country Championships. Competed in Seoul Olympics.

  • U23 / World University Games
    Manager:European U23 Championships, 2007 World University Games
    Name:Br John Dooley
    Background:Team Manager Irish Schools 1973-1983. Coach to top Irish Athletes Geraldine Nolan, Mark Carroll, Enda Fitzpatrick. Assistant Coach European Junior Championships 1991& 2003.

  • Junior Team Manager
    Manager:2006 World Junior championships, 2007 European Junior Championships
    Name:Peter Sinclair
    Background:Athletics: Competed in World Championships in Rome 1987, European Indoors in Budapest 1988. 35 caps in total. Coaching Junior squad at Crusaders A/C. Administration: President of Ulster Sports Council 1994-1997

  • Youth Team Manager
    Manager:2007 EYOF, 2007 World Youth Championships
    Name:Geraldine Nolan
    Background:European Finalist 2004 Helsinki, 4 year track scholarship to Providence College, RI. Winner of many national juvenile, junior and senior titles. Currently involved in Kilkenny City Harriers.
