Athletics Ireland, in partnership with Dublin South City Partnership (DSCP) and the WorkAbility Programme, is proud to celebrate the successful completion of the inaugural Athletics WorkAbility Programme.
Over the course of several weeks, a cohort of young adults took part in a unique journey of personal and professional development, using athletics as a vehicle for growth, learning, and connection.
Designed for young adults the programme provided participants with opportunities to build confidence, develop transferable skills, and explore pathways into employment. Participants also engaged with athletics through education, volunteering, coaching, and other meaningful experiences within the sport.
We are incredibly proud of the commitment, resilience, and progress shown by every participant throughout the programme. Their achievements highlight the power of sport to create positive change, foster inclusion, and open doors to new opportunities.
A huge thank you to everyone involved in making this programme a success. We look forward to seeing the continued impact of Athletics WorkAbility and the journeys of these inspiring young people.
