3:27.64 1500m athlete Silas Kiplagat of Kenya will take on some of Ireland’s leading milers in Ballymote, Co. Sligo on Saturday the 20th of September. Paul Robinson (St Coca’s AC), John Travers (Donore Harriers AC) and Alberto Sanchez (Sligo AC) are all in the line-up in search of the sub four minute mile on Irish soil.
The event will be one for all the family with race director Dermot McDermott organising a children’s mile races, a mixed relay and an open 5km. The day will also include a special appearance by World 50km Race Walk Champion Rob Heffernan as he will host a Race Walking Workshop at 3.30pm
