Travelling to the England AAAs has proven to be a most valuable and successful initiative by the Juvenile Committee. The 43 young athletes who attended these championships in Bedford produced outstanding performances this weekend. An extremely competitive bunch who at no stage showed any sign of being overawed by what was for many a first experience of international competition.
The group took home 17 medals:
- 7 Gold
- 5 Silver
- 5 Bronze
- 21 top 8 finishes
- 13 PBs.
The impact the athletes created did not go unnoticed with great recognition coming from the organising committee of England Athletics.
