Cleirigh-Buttner added to team for London

Siofra Cleirigh-Buttner (DSD) has been added to the Irish team for the World Championships in London via the IAAF Roll-Down Process.

Cleirigh-Buttner will run in the 800m having accepted an invitation from the IAAF to compete under their quota system. The DSD and Villanova athlete finished 7th at the recent European U23 Championships.

She has a personal best for the 800m of 2:01.98 with a season's best of 2:02.11.

This now brings the Irish team up to 12 athletes.
