Clonliffe Harriers and Dublin City Harriers dominated the senior races at Sunday’s 123.ie National Road Relay Championships, which were hosted by Raheny Shamrock AC in St Anne’s Park (April 26th).
Senior Women
Dublin City Harriers A.C. delivered a standout team performance to take gold in 20:17. Strong legs from Orla Duffy, Faye Dervan, and Lucy Holmes combined effectively to edge out St. Abbans A.C. in a tight contest (20:23), with Dundrum South Dublin A.C. securing bronze in 20:54.
Senior Men
In the final race of the day, Clonliffe Harriers A.C. produced a composed and powerful display to win in 37:04. Anchored by Ian Guiden and supported by Ben Guiden, Fintan Kerins, and Colm Rooney, they held off strong challenges from Donore Harriers A.C. (37:28) and Dundrum South Dublin A.C. (37:36).
The earlier masters races set the tone for the afternoon, with competitive fields across all age categories.
Masters Women (35+)
The host club made an immediate impact as Raheny Shamrock A.C. claimed gold in 22:32. Longford A.C. took silver in 22:38, while Crusaders A.C. finished third in 23:07.
Masters Men (35+)
Donore Harriers A.C. led the field to victory in 18:54, ahead of Raheny Shamrock A.C. (18:58) and Liffey Valley A.C. (19:11).
Masters Women (50+)
Raheny Shamrock added another title, winning in 24:06, with Brothers Pearse A.C. second in 25:22 and Donore Harriers A.C. third in 27:33.
Masters Men (50+)
Dundrum South Dublin A.C. secured victory in 20:48, narrowly ahead of Raheny Shamrock A.C. (20:59), with Drogheda and District A.C. taking bronze in 21:05.
