Athletics Ireland is seeking expressions of interest from coaches wishing to be considered for accompanying Irish teams and groups of athletes which fall under the remit of the AAI Following on from the passing of the following motion at the recent Athletics Ireland Congress, the Chair of the Coaching and Development Committee is seeking expressions of interest from coaches wishing to be considered for accompanying Irish teams and groups of athletes which fall under the remit of the AAI. “To encourage the development of Irish coaches, only NCTC Level 3 or equivalent qualified coaches be nominated for positions as team coaches to International teams. These nominations to be approved by the Coaching Committee.” Please note that the Coaching & Development Committee is currently in the process of establishing a database of coaches who wish to be considered for such duty. All future coaching appointments will be made from this database using transparent processes which will be published in the early Autumn. All coaches wishing to be included on this database should email Paddy Fay (Committee Chair) at paddyfay@eircom.net and copy the request to Gary Ryan (Director of Coaching) at coaching@athleticsireland.ie”
