Athletics Ireland is inviting the entire athletics community to join us in the Phoenix Park on Sunday, November 8th for the 16th edition of the Remembrance Run 5K, supported by 123.ie.

The Remembrance Run is a special opportunity for us to come together to remember and celebrate family, friends and members of our athletics community who have passed away.

People of all ages and levels of fitness are encouraged to take part. Whether you choose to walk, jog or run the 5 kilometres, this is an event where the time on the clock takes a back seat. Instead, we invite participants to dedicate their 5K to someone special and share in a morning of reflection, remembrance and community.

Remembering Those Who Have Gone Before Us

The athletics community is built on people – athletes, coaches, volunteers, officials, club members, family and friends – and the Remembrance Run provides an opportunity to honour those who are no longer with us.

We would love to see clubs and members from across the country join us in the Phoenix Park and dedicate their participation to someone they wish to remember.

The event will start at 10.00am on Sunday, November 8th.

Participants also have the option to purchase a Remembrance Run 5K long-sleeve T-shirt when registering.

Run for a Cause Close to Your Heart

Participants can also create a personal fundraising page during registration and select a charity close to their heart.

In 2025, more than €17,000 was raised for charities through the generosity of Remembrance Run participants and their supporters.
