Andrew Coscoran moved to seventh on the Irish indoor all-time list when clocking 3:37.98 for 1500m on Saturday night, the 23-year-old finishing third in the Bruce Lehane Scarletand White Invitational at Boston University.The race was won by Josh Thompsonin 3:37.21, with Coscoran smashing his personal best by three seconds. It’s the fastest indoor time by an Irishman since 2013.
Síofra Cléirigh-Buttner was also in action in Boston, the Dubliner clocking a swift 4:11.96 for 1500m,he fastest time indoors by five seconds. Elsewhere Phil Healy was in flying form in Vienna, the 25-year-old clocking 52.65 for 400m and 23.46 for 200m. Sarah Lavin opened her season in Apeldoorn, clocking 8.32 for 60m hurdles which was just shy of her personal best of 8.25.
Eric Favors continued his fine early season form, where he extended his 3 week old Irish Shot Put Indoor Record to 19.01m at Columbia, SC.
