Crack schools' team set for SIAB International

Crack schools' team set for Emirates Arena

A crack Irish schools’ team will compete at the SIAB Combined Events International at the Emirates Arena, Glasgow tomorrow (November 10).

Scotland has been a hotbed of talent on the international scene lately and the young Irish starlets will be hoping some of the Scottish stardust rubs off on them.

In the junior girls’ Jennifer Hanrahan (Our Lady’s Terenure), Niamh McCorry (Loreto College Cavan) and Jennifer Leahy (Loreto Kilkenny) and Orla Coffey (St. Angela’s College Cork) will compete.

In the intermediate girls Lara O'Byrne (St. Joseph’s Lucan) will lead the Irish challenge alongside Ella Duane (Cross & Passion Kilcullen), Aisling Cassidy (Bandon Grammar School) and Niamh O'Neill (Ballyhaunis C.S.)

The junior boys’ sees Iarlaith Golding (St Colman's Claremorris), Jordan Cunningham (St. Malachy's College Belfast), Alan Miley (Dunlavin C.C.)and Jack Forde (Wexford C.B.S.) don the green while in the intermediate boys’ Troy McConville (Craigavon S.H.S.), Ciaran Carthy (St. Michael’s College), Brian Lynch (Coláiste an Spioraid Naoimh Bishopstown)and Darragh Miniter (Ennistymon C.B.S.) lead the Irish charge.

It’s set to be an exciting day of action and a good experience for the multi-disciplinary stars.
