The ECCC Cross Country is one of the longest standing and most established cross country fixtures on the calendar, even predating the SPAR European Cross Country Championships by more than three decades. The 2024 event will take place on 25th February in Albufeira, Portugal.
Irish Clubs can qualify by securing first and second team finishes at the 2023 National Cross-Country Championships:
- National Senior XC 4x1500m Mixed Relay, Autumn Open, 15th October 2023
- National U20 & Senior XC Champs, Gowran, Co Kilkenny on 19th November 2023.
Teams that can qualify are as follows:
- Senior Mixed 4x1500m Relay
- U20 Men & Women
- Senior Men & Women
Athletics Ireland will provide a grant of €1000.00 for each club to assist with costs.

Senior Mixed 4x1500m Teams:
- New Event, no Irish teams travelled in 2023.
