This year’s event is the 26th year of the Evening Echo Women’s Mini Marathon. It will take place on Sunday, September 23 at 1 pm. The start position will be on Centre Park Road and the race distance will be 4 miles. The race will finish in Kennedy Park. From humble beginnings in 1982 the race has gone from strength to strength over the years. Last year’s event attracted over 10,000 official entrants. This year, and with your help, we are hoping to raise the entry level beyond the 12,000 mark, making it the biggest, and hopefully the best event to date. So go on, get out there, get fit, and take part in Munster’s biggest road race on September 23 next. Last year's result: 1 R Ryan (Bilboa) 22:03 2 N O’Sullivan (Riocht, F40) 23:23 3 C Parnell (Leevale, F50) 23:53 4 A Shine (Leevale) 24:10 5 V Colleran (Ennis TC, F35) 24:28 6 L Cavanagh (UCC, F35) 25:10 7 Joanne Waters (Kilmallock) 25:46 8 Jennifer Waters (Kilmallock) 25:47 9 M Sweeney (St Finbarrs, F45) 26:12 10 H Leonard (Rathfarnham-WSAF) 26:18 generous prizes in each category with €600 for the overall winnerCork Mini Marathon
