Primary School Athletics
The finals of the Fingal Primary Schools Cross Country League were held recently at Morton Stadium, Santry. This was a significant event with over 1,600 young athletes representing over 50 schools from all corners of the Fingal region. This is an annual event and represents a very successful collaboration between Athletics Ireland and Fingal County Council.
Particpation
The initial event involving 5 schools in 2007 has grown into a superb league which prioritises participation and fun for all participants. The early rounds of the competition take place in parks throughout Fingal with the final being held in Morton Stadium.
Organisers
The event was marshalled superbly by a combination of Fingal County Council Staff, Athletics Ireland club members and volunteers.
