A highly successful Forest Feast Little Athletics Agility Challenge was held in DKIT, Dundalk on the 5th of November with over 80 kids attending the event. The event brought together young athletes (7-9 years old) from two local primary schools in an action packed and fun filled day of activity.
The athletes were put through their paces by participating in various games working on their agility, balance and coordination, the three fundamentals of the Forest Feast Little Athletics Programme.
Great Success
Athletics Ireland Regional Development Officer Bart Rogers, co-ordinator of the event said:
“It was great to see so many children here today getting active and having fun at the same time. With Forest Feast now on board as sponsor it will allow us to increase participation levels across the country in the programme.”
Partnership
The recent partnership between Athletics Ireland and dried fruit and nut experts Forest Feast supports the growth of grassroot athletics in Ireland through the major sponsorship of Little Athletics. The Forest Feast Little Athletics programme introduces young children (5-12 years) to athletics in a fun, engaging and non-competitive environment.
