Walk, Run or Jog, but #KeepYourDistance

Athletics Ireland has launched a national campaign that aims to keep people active over the coming weeks and months. Athletics Ireland will be offering up free tips and advice to help you stay active while adhering to the HSE guidelines with respect to COVID-19. Further details of this can be found HERE.

Over 300,000 people in Ireland run on a regular basis, so Athletics Ireland have teamed up with MyRunResults to link this community together via a series of free virtual runs.

MyRunResults will host free virtual runs for 1mile, 2k, and 5k. There will be a leaderboard posted on the MyRunResults website so you can check in on how you did. Please ensure you exercise within a 5KM radius of your home. Find out 5KM radius HERE.

There is also a 2k option for kids where parents can also upload their child's time. Parents can upload a time manually by clicking HERE.

Please note that these runs are more about keeping everyone motivated and moving, rather than being competitive events. Please adhere to HSE guidelines and do not run in groups.

For those that love a t-shirt & medal there will also be an option to purchase and have posted. Details of which will be announced in the coming days.
