The first evening of Galway's Senior Track & Field Series incorporating the Galway Senior Championships kicks off this evening, Thursday May 10th. This is an excellent opportunity for some low-key early season competition. Entries are invited from all athletes aged 16 and over. Masters category also. Athletes from outside Galway are strongly encouraged and very welcome. This evenings events include 100m, 800m, SP, LJ and a distance medley relay. Each Tuesday in May sees a no-frills 5k road race hosted by one of Galway's senior clubs. So far Athenry and Tuam have each hosted an event with over 200 finishers, 75% of whom have entered for the entire 5 race series. Next up is Craughwell on Tuesday, May 15th. All races start at 8pm.
