New Irish record for Paul Hession It was an action packed evening for Irish athletes at the Golden spike meet in Ostrava. Paul Hession was in superb form, smashing Gordon Kennedy's Irish record for 300m set in 2000. For good measure Paul McKee was also nside the old record of 33.36. David Gillick was second in hte 400m with a time again in hte mid 45's which continues his great start to the season. Alistair Cragg ran his fastest time of the year in the 5,000m, while Derval O'Rourke was 6th in the 100m hurdles and Michelle Carey was seventh inthe 400m hurdles.
