Corporate Ireland to get on it's marks at Great Ireland Run Corporate Ireland is being encouraged by the Leinster Society of Chartered Accountants to enter teams of runners, joggers or walkers in a unique Business Challenge which will be incorporated into the Great Ireland Run which takes place in the Phoenix Park, Dublin on Sunday 6th April at 1 pm. Large (over 50 employees) and small (less than 50 employees) businesses from every sector of the economy can enter all male, all female or mixed teams to compete for superb trophies for first, second and third places in each category. All companies that enter 12 employees or more will be provided with an engraved plaque by the organisers for the company to present to their winner. Full entry details are at www.greatrun.org or through the Run hotline – 1890 930139. Entries for the Business Challenge must be made before 14th March 2008. Male and female teams can have a minimum of four individuals and a maximum of eight per team. Mixed teams must have a minimum of two males and two female entries up to a maximum of eight individuals per team. Companies can enter as many teams in each category as they wish. The Great Ireland Run is the country’s largest mixed 10k race and has grown rapidly since its inception in 2003. Last year over 8,000 people took part and this year up to 10,000 are expected for what will be a great day out for families. RTE Two television will broadcast the Run live. All entrants will receive a unique T shirt before the event and finishers get a generous goody bag and chip-timed results. Leinster Society of Chartered Accountants members who enter will receive a special LSCA/Great Run T shirt and will be eligible for special LSCA prizes. Society members will be encouraged to run to raise funds for the Irish Kidney Association.
