Zak Hanna finished 5th at the World Mountain and Trail Running Championships in Chiang Mai in the early hours of this morning (Nov 4th). Hanna finished ahead of some world-class athletes including previous world champions to cross the 8.5km route in 49.32, a course that included 1,065m of ascent.
Patrick Kipngeno of Kenya put the final flourish to claim the gold in 45.51, 90 seconds ahead of his teammate and compatriot Philemon Kiriago, with Alex Garcia of Spain in 3rd.
