Paul Hession was in sparkling form today at the Resisprint International in La Chaux de Fonds in Switzerland. The Athenry native clocked a magnificent personal best of 10.42 when coming first in the B final of the 100m run into a negative 0.2 m/s wind. Hession later went on to finish 2nd in the 200m in a time of 20.76, which is all the more impressive considering it was run into a headwind of 1.5 m/s. Paul will be hoping for better conditions when he runs in Malmo, Sweden next Tuesday night. Also in action was David Gillick, who won the men's 400m A race comfortably in a time of 46.49. Elsewhere in Monaco, Derval O' Rourke followed up her 13.21 in Zurich on Friday night with a 13.17 time when finishing seventh in the Meeting Hercules in Monaco. Roisín McGettigan fresh from her 4*1500m victory in the Celtic Cup on Thursday night was 13th in the women's 3000m steeplechase in a time of 9.47.43.
