Athletics Ireland is delighted to announce a new partnership with HyGo Irish Still Spring Water, with the Tipperary based company becoming the Official Hydration Partner of Athletics Ireland.
The partnership will support athletes, clubs and participants across Athletics Ireland’s nationwide programme of events while promoting the importance of hydration, healthy lifestyles and sustainability within communities across Ireland.
Produced by Borrisoleigh Bottling Ltd, HyGo Spring Water is drawn from the well that produced Ireland’s first mineral water and has earned seven international gold medals for excellence. The company combines decades of industry expertise with a commitment to producing premium natural water in a more environmentally responsible way.
As Official Hydration Partner, HyGo Spring Water will support everyone from Ireland’s elite athletes to the thousands of club members, recreational runners and young athletes who participate in Athletics Ireland events each year.
The partnership will see HyGo promoted through Athletics Ireland’s year-round programme of events, digital channels and publications, reaching more than 75,000 registered members and a substantially wider running community across Ireland. Partnership activations will include a dedicated HyGo Hydration Hub on AthleticsIreland.ie, educational hydration content, on-site event activations, product sampling opportunities and integrated brand visibility across Athletics Ireland’s communications channels.
Available in innovative 330ml and 500ml carton packaging, HyGo offers a more sustainable alternative to traditional plastic water bottles. Alongside HyGo, Borrisoleigh Bottling Ltd also produces the well-established WB Yeats water brand for Ireland’s hotel and hospitality sector.
Speaking on the announcement, Michael Ferncombe, Sales & Business Development Manager, Borrisoleigh Bottling Ltd, said:
“We are delighted to partner with Athletics Ireland. We know how important it is for athletes to stay properly hydrated, whether they are competing at the highest level or taking part in their local club session. We look forward to working with Athletics Ireland to support participation, performance and wellbeing at every level of the sport.”
Irish 100m Champion Ciara Neville, whose mother hails from close to Borrisoleigh, said:
“Hydration is a vital part of training, recovery and performance, so it’s fantastic to see an Irish brand like HyGo supporting athletics in this way. It’s especially nice for me personally to see a business with such strong connections to Borrisoleigh partnering with Athletics Ireland. I’m sure HyGo will become a familiar sight at events around the country, and it’s great to see a company investing in Irish athletes and the wider athletics community.”
