Big Squad Competes in Cardiff Tomorrow A large team will compete in the Celtic Cup in Cardiff this weekend. Anna Boyle will lead the women's senior team after a fantastic start to the indoor season in Budapest and Bratislava last weekend having secured her qualification for the European Indoor Championships. Also on the women's senior team is Elaine McCaffery in the 400m. On the men's side Liam Reale will compete again over 1500m after an impressive start to his season in Vienna during the week. He will be hoping to secure that European Indoor Qualification. A number of less experienced athletes will complete the men's side with Joe Warne of Doheny getting his first outing in Irish colours along with Nick Hogan of DSD and Carl McNamara of Leevale. The junior women's team will be in with a shot of taking the team title, with Ferrybank featuring strongly with world junior qualifier Kelly Proper in the Long Jump. James Nolan is in action again tomorrow evening in Stuttgart in the 1500m after an impressive run in Boston last weekend, and Deirdre Ryan will compete on Tuesday in Gent, at the Flander Indoor Meeting.
