The Juvenile Committee of Athletics Ireland is pleased to announce an international Cross-Country opportunity for U17 athletes.

Recognising the importance of Cross-Country in the development of the endurance athlete and the value of gaining exposure to international competition, athletes will be selected to compete in the UK Cross Challenge in Perth, Scotland on Saturday 14th January 2023

Age Group Selection Criteria:

The first six (6) eligible athletes (boys and girls) across the line in the U17 National race on December 4th 2022 will be offered selection. In the event that any of these athletes are not available selection will be offered to the next available finisher. Permission from both Guardian and Coach must be obtained in order to be selected.

Distance: U17 race, 6km for both Boys and Girls

Travel: Dublin to Edinburgh, morning of Friday 13th, return Edinburgh to Dublin, Saturday 14th
