A week after placing third at the Diamond League Meeting in Doha Irish 400m Hurdles Record Holder Thomas Barr (Ferrybank AC) competes in the IFAM Meeting in Belgium this Saturday, 23rd of May. Barr ran a time of 48.99 seconds in Doha returns to the IFAM event where twelve months previous he broke the Irish record for the first time.

The IFAM meeting has proved a popular hunting ground for Irish athletes in the past and once again a large contingent will make the trip to Oordegem for this high quality event. European Indoor Long Jump representative Adam McMullen (Crusaders AC) is set to go in the 100m and long jump events while Kelly Proper (Ferrybank AC) makes her 2015 outdoor season debut in the 100m and 200m events.

Ciara Everard (UCD AC) fresh from running 2.03 at the BMC meet last weekend goes in the 800m with a trio of steeplechasers Sara Treacy (Dunboyne AC), Michelle Finn (Leevale AC) and Kerry Flaherty (Newcastle AC) entered in the 3,000m SC.

Junior Athletes

There is also a group of 12 up and coming junior athletes competing at the IFAM meeting with a junior men's and women's relay team set to go in the relay.
