New members wanted The Irish Milers Club was established with the following goals: * To Raise the Standard of Irish Middle Distance Running. * To Improve the Knowledge and Skills of Coaches & Others Interested in Middle Distance Events. * To Gain Wider Recognition of Middle Distance Events. * To Encourage Juveniles to Progress to Senior Events. To achieve our goals and improve the services we provide our members and the wider Irish athletics community, we are seeking new members for our voluntary committee. The committee meets on average 4 times per annum in Dublin, organise 3 athletics meetings per annum in Irishtown Stadium during the summer and also hold events at the Irish Schools and Cork City Sports. New members would preferably have previous experience of working on a club committee; have a keen interest in middle distance events and in the future development of the club and distance running in Ireland. Those interested in joining the committee are asked to email Garrett Coughlan (garrett@irishmilersclub.com) stating their previous experience in athletics and administration, and what they could contribute to the club. We would ask for correspondence to be submitted before February 18th. Any queries may be directed to the above email address or by calling Garrett on 0871313146.
