At its recent meeting in Varna, Bulgaria the Council of the European Athletic Association appointed key officials for all the major championships next year.Included in the list are the following Irish officials:

John Cronin Technical Official for the European Under 23 Championships in Debrecen, Hungary 12-15 July 2007
Liam Hennessy Technical Official for the European Junior Championships in Hengelo, Holland 19-22 July 2007
Nick Davis Jury of Appeal European Cup Combined Events Tallinn Estonia 7-8 July 2007
Michael Lane EAA Delegate EAA Walking Meeting Leeds UK 7 July 2007
Al Guy EAA Delegate EAA Premium Meeting Prague Czech Republic 13 June 2007.

The appointment of John Cronin for such a prestigious event after just one year as an EAA Technical Official is particularly noteworthy.
