Irish team combine to win medals aplenty

The Irish schools’ combined events team put in a strong showing at the Combined Events international in Glasgow on Saturday (November 3rd).

The junior girls’ team put in solid performances to take bronze in the team standings. Laura Frawley (St.Mary's S.S. Charleville) took individual silver with 3,328 points.

The Irish team went one better in the intermediate girls standings winning silver with Chloe Casey (Saint Raphaels College, Loughrea) fourth individually scoring 3598 points.

In the boys, Ireland won team silver in the junior category with Harry Nevin (St. Francis College, Rochestown) also winning silver with 3294 points.

It was topped off with intermediate team bronze headed by Wymin Sivakumar (Colaiste an Spioraid Naoimh Bishopstown) scoring 3429 points in sixth.
