The following is the Irish team for the European Junior Championships which will be held in Kaunas Lithuania. The team of 16 is the largest team ever to participate in these prestigious championships.  Leading the challenge for honours in Kaunas will be star middle-distance performers Colin Costello and Danny Darcy.  A recent performance of 3.44.11 puts Darcy 3rd on this years European ranking list while Costello has a best time of 3.45.34 from last year After the phenomenally successful European Youth Olympics in Lignano last week where Ireland took 4 medals it is hoped that further success can be achieved in Kaunas .
