Jennings 3rd at 100km World Championships

Caitriona Jennings produced a stunning performance to claim a 3rd place fininsh at the IAU 100km World Championships on Saturday (Aug 27th).

The Letterkenny woman took the bronze medal in a time of 7:07:16. Jennings was also first in the World Masters section.

Floriane Hot won gold in 7:04:03 and Camille Chaigneau claimed silver in 7:06:32, with both athletes representing France.

Jennings won the Anglo Celtic Plate 100km in 7:43:01 last year (Aug), before going on to smash that PB with this weekend's superb display.

*Update: Catriona Jennings finish time of 7:07:16 in the World Masters 100Km has been ratified as a new Age Group World Record.
