Jennings fourth in World 50km Championships

Caitriona Jennings finished just outside the medals at the IAU World 50km Championships with a fourth place finish in 3:31:49 in Doha.

The Rathfarnham athlete who ran in the Olympic marathon in London 2012 put in a brave performance in a race won by the USA’s Camille Herron in 3:20:58. Marija Vrajic (Croatia) was second in 3:28:15 with Catrin Jones (Canada) third in 3:28:19.

 Gary O'Hanlon (Clonliffe Harriers) finished 11th in 3:07:50 with Barry Minnock (Rathfarnham) 21st in 3:16:35 in the men's race.Tony Migliozzi (USA) won in 2:52:08.
