Athletics Ireland juvenile committee are planning an International opportunity for 15 to 17 year old athletes at the end of August 2022. Athletes born between August 31st 2005 and January 1st 2009 will be considered for a call up to the relevant age group competition with selection totally based from results of our upcoming National Championships.
The competition we want to send a squad to is The English AAAs Championships August 27th/28th in Bedford. This competition has an entry standard which will be the minimum requirement for selection.
All interested athletes must compete at our National Championships and produce a high level of performance as to be considered for selection.
All athletes must commit to being available to compete August 26th to August 29th 2022 and give full commitment to training from Nationals until time of event.
Can all interested athletes fill in the Expression of interest form and return by Wednesday July 13th 6pm.
Parental consent to allow athlete to travel will be part of the registration process as will the provision of contact details to assist travelling coaches with looking after the young athletes. It is planned to make the journey by coach/boat.
All travelling athletes will need to have a valid passport.
