Luzerne round up

A small clutch of Irish athletes competed in the EAP meeting in Luzerne, Switzerland last night (June 14).

Marcus Lawler (SLOT) ran 10.60 in the 100m and 21.58 for the 200m in poor conditions.  

In the women’s 3,000m steeplechase Sara Treacy (Dunboyne) finished third in 9:56.81 while Kerry O’Flaherty (Newcastle) was little further back with a time of 9:59.76. Switzerland’s Fabienne Schlumpf won in 9:53.61.

In the hammer, Killian Barry (Crusaders) threw 59.57m in a meet organised by Irish javelin record holder Terry McHugh.
